GENERAL CARGO HANDLING
IndochinaPost Cargo offers the transportation service for General cargo covering a wide variety of product lines such as dry cargo, consolidation, household goods, personal effects, and other commodities that require regular handling only. With our extensive network of transportation including flights and trucks, you’ll enjoy an economical and reliable general cargo service.
Important information:
A shipment is accepted when IndochinaPost Cargo takes possession of cargo and executes an AWB issued.
Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI) is a mandatory document for shippers or forwarding companies neither issuing AWB nor being present at the time of AWB issuance to sign it. Based on instructions in SLI and details of shipment in the reality of which a number of pieces, weight, and volume are checked, AWB will be issued.
Each AWB requires an equivalent SLI of sufficient contents according to regulations. Agents’ forwarding staff executes SLI when accepting from agents/forwarders.

PERISHABLE CARGO HANDLING
In the event that you require shipment of sensitive items, goods that will likely deteriorate if exposed to adverse temperature, humidity or left out over an extended period of time, IndochinaPost Cargo has established measures to help you transport items safely. Examples of perishable cargo include but are not limited to: chocolate, dairy products, fish, flowers, foodstuffs, frozen products, fruits & vegetables, hatching eggs, meat, plant material, serum, and vaccines. At most transit stations, we provide speciality of freezers and cool rooms for storage and specially trained staff to handle these items and help your shipment arrive as quickly as possible and in good condition.
LIVE ANIMALS
IndochinaPost Cargo understands how important it is to take extreme care of the animals placed in our care, and that some are beloved pets who will fly safety and comfortable with IndochinaPost Cargo. All shipments are accepted and handled in compliance with the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora endangered (CITES), IATA Live Animal Regulations (LAR) and IndochinaPost Cargo Regulations for transport of live animals.

The compatibility between live animals and other cargo inside the aircraft is strictly controlled.

Live animals are divided in to 5 classifications, each with different acceptance conditions.
Important Information:
In order to comply to the rules and regulations of the relevant authorities a heath certificate will need to be required.
Live animals, animal products of group I, II and III in the list of CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) carried on international flights must be accompanied by CITES permits.
Live animals other than cattle and poultry (wild animals captured and raised in special farms) carried on domestic flights must be accompanied by Domestic transport permits issued by Forestry Branches of provinces and cities.
In addition to Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI), The shipper or his agent must provide 02 copies of the complete and signed Shipper’s certification for Live Animal. The certification is not applied for transport of live seafood.

DANGEROUS GOODS
IndochinaPost Cargo sets the highest standard for handling of potentially hazardous materials and restricted items. Such items, physical or chemical, include those that can pose a significant risk to health, safety, property or the environment, especially when transported by air. That’s why we ensure that all IndochinaPost Cargo staff involved in the handling of these restricted items are trained and have obtained a valid clearance and certification in these situations. We also make sure to provide designated storage areas for these kinds of items.

Important Information
Transportation of dangerous goods to and from Vietnam on any aircraft bearing registration the number of IndochinaPost Cargo, regardless of where the aircraft is, must fully comply with ICAO regulations on safe transport of Dangerous Goods, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, laws/regulations of The Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Regulations of Dangerous Goods Transport of the aviation authorities of en-route countries. Dangerous goods shipments are accepted only when shipper or authorized freight forwarder shall confirm that:
The shipments are not forbidden to be transported by air.
The shipments must be properly identified, classified, marked, labelled and packed in compliance with IATA DGR.
In addition to hipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI) , Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods (DGD) shall be completed in compliance with Dangerous Goods Regulations.

WET CARGO HANDLING
Some cargo needs to be classified as Wet Cargo, as it contains liquid, emits liquid or by nature may produce liquid. This can be all types of liquids, frozen or fresh meat/fish, live animals, and any goods producing liquid. Below are the important notes you need to ensure we will transport your Wet Cargo properly and deliver it in its expected condition. These types of cargo are classified as wet cargo:
Liquid in watertight containers
Wet substances not packed in watertight containers: fresh or frozen meat, wet hides and skins etc…
Substances packed in wet ice, such as fresh, frozen fish and seafood shipments;
Live animals from which liquid can escape (mainly mammals with much excreta);
Goods which may produce liquid due to their nature.
With IndochinaPost Cargo experienced staff in handling wet cargo, all wet shipments are transported in accordance with special requirements for wet cargo.

VULNERABLE CARGO
Some cargo is vulnerable due to its high value, such as: cameras, laptops; PDAs, valuable electronic commodities, mobile phones, phone cards (excluding cards without value), watches that can easily be stolen during transportation. With IndochinaPost Cargo, such items are accepted and handled by our trained and skilled specialist staff in accordance with a strictly-controlled process which every stage of shipment is constantly kept under CCTV surveillance. They are stored in secured storage areas that have been designed to prevent unauthorized access.
In addition, vulnerable cargo can include other kinds of cargo as requested by shippers, except special cargo in accordance with IPL’s regulations: valuable cargo, live animals, perishable cargo, wet cargo, etc.

Important Information
In addition to Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI), a Declaration for Vulnerable Cargo (VCD) shall be made by the shipper containing details of cargo type, number, weight and packing status at acceptance.
In case vulnerable cargo is also dangerous goods, documentation requirements of dangerous goods regulation shall be complied with.
Separate AWB shall be issued for vulnerable cargo.

EXPRESS CARGO DELIVERY
IndochinaPost Cargo Transporting Express Cargo is committed to delivering your shipment within the earliest time possible. This is a service offered exclusively in Vietnam from/to our cargo terminals in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Labeling and Marking
In addition to the marking and labeling requirements for general cargo, at least one express cargo label must be stuck on each express cargo package in a visible place.
Important Information
IndochinaPost Cargo is committed to ensure the earliest delivery time possible. In case IndochinaPost Cargo fails to carry out this commitment, compensation will be paid to customers.
Your shipment’s progress will be updated regularly.
Only general cargo accepted as express cargo. Special Cargo such as live animals, perishable cargo, dangerous goods, etc. is not accepted.
Cut-off time at station of departure is 60 minutes prior to ETD, and delivery time at station of the destination (at separate counter for express cargo) is 45 minutes after arrival time.
Weight of each package must not exceed 32kg and dimension of each package c must not exceed 80cm x 60cm x 50 cm.
A separate AWB shall be issued for express cargo. Each AWB requires an equivalent;
Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI) of sufficient contents according to regulations.
