Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 health crisis, air transport has played a critical role in ensuring the delivery and supply of the most critical goods, particularly pharmaceutical products. As previously stated, air logistics, which is distinguished by its dependability and speed, has been critical during this long period of pandemics.
The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, has recently launched the “Humanitarian Air Transport Initiative.” A campaign in which more than ten leading airlines will collaborate with the NGO to distribute COVID-19 vaccines, essential medicines, or medical equipment in order to respond to the pandemic as effectively as possible.
This action is also intended to serve as a global logistical preparedness mechanism for other long-term health and humanitarian crises in which air transport will be critical. Many of the companies involved in this initiative, on the other hand, have the international GDP (Good Distribution Practice) certificate.
